"It was a long haul out there and at about 10 hours on the road and hot horses in the trailer we were wondering
if  it is all worth it.  YES - very much worth it!!!  The riding has been a "horseback riding paradise."   In WI we
have hills and a few tough spots but nothing as challenging as here - but also not as beautiful.  It has been a
real treat also to come to French Creek B&B.  We felt as comfortable as you can be away from home and NEVER
worried about horse security when we had to go shopping!  Of course, a woman Must shop a little and we found
nice shops right here in Custer.  Last year we came out with horses and stayed north of Rapid City.  French Creek
and the trails around Custer have a beauty all it's own.  We will return.

"When my wife first suggested going to South Dakota for vacation, I was a bit apprehensive about it.  I'm a city boy
from Boston, even though I now live in Minnesota which is where my wife grew up.  Vacations for me were places
like Florida, with beaches and theme parks or Mexico with pool side bars.  My wife convinced me that it would be a
nice vacation.  She had been to SD as a young child with her parents and said how beautiful it was and how much
there was to do.  So, I agreed. 

I am happy to say that she was 100 % right.  Your state is so absolutely beautiful that I can't think of enough
adjectives to describe it so I'll just say that it is utterly breathtaking.  The Badlands, the Black Hills, Custer State
Park and all the wild life was, I mean, IS majestic!  Every one of our nine days was filled with something exciting
and fun to do and to top it all off, your beautiful Ranch to stay at and the amazing, mouth watering breakfasts and
snacks.  Thank you so much for your hospitality and you can be sure we will recommend your B&B to all our friends
